Ocra Systems Raises $5 Million In Series B Funding
U.S.-based Ocra Systems, a wireless technology licensing company, has raised $5 Million in Series B funding from VentureEast, bringing its total financing to $7 Million. Also, the General Partners of VentureEast, Raghu Mendu and Siddhartha Das, have joined Ocra's Board of Directors. According to Guruswami Sridharan, CEO, Ocra Systems, the proceeds of the fund, will be utilized to develop new products, in addition to marketing and sales initiatives, in order to grow the market share. Ocra Systems is a fabless semiconductor and intellectual property licensing company, which provides highly integrated radio frequency (RF) and modem technology, delivering a leading-edge solution for high performance wireless applications. VentureEast is one of the earliest funds in India, having overr$300 million under management. It focuses on high-growth, small and medium enterprises. It has enables over 50 businesses in ICT-Technology, healthcare and life sciences, cleantech, apart from other emerging sectors.
