Komli Media acquires ZestADZ
Mumbai: Komli Media, an online ad network, has acquired a mobile advertising platform ZestADZ, which is a part of mobile-worx, a leading mobile marketing company headquartered in Los Angeles, U.S. and operations in Chennai and Mumbai. The value of the deal is undisclosed. Amit Bhartiya, VP of the Komli Media, will also incorporate operations of ZestADZ, and Asif Ali, CEO ZestADZ, will head mobile products. The acquisition will enable the company to offer digital solutions on the mobile platform along with the existing offerings for agencies, advertisers and publishers, with solutions across display, video, search and social media. Founded in 2007 by Asif Ali, Nat D Natraj and Terry Uppal, ZestADZ offers targeted mobile advertising to clients in India, U.S., the European Union, Indonesia and other parts of South-East Asia. The mobile platform through which it offer ads are iPhone, Android and J2ME. It also offers analytics tools to advertisers and publishers to measure campaign efficiency. They claim to deliver five billion mobile ad impressions each month globally. The clientele of the company includes Ibibo, Bharat Matrimony, Maeglin, Moblying and MSN among others. Prashant Mehta, CEO, Komli Media, said that ZestADZ is a great platform that they can leverage. Ali has a strong tech background and has been in mobile space for the past 15 years. Last month Komli Media had acquired Aktiv Digital, a Singapore-based media sales house with offices in multiple markets in South East Asia. Mehta is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Komli Media's overall business operations including sales, product development, engineering, marketing and business development. Prior to Komli, he has worked with Yahoo! for eight years. He also held various roles at Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan Chase and Nat West. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a BS from Rutgers University.
