Juhu Beach and its Mesmerizing Beauty

Bangalore: Juhu Beach is one of the most popular and attractive beaches which is situated on the shores of Arabian Sea in Juhu suburb, in the city of Mumbai. It is one of the excellent places to view beautiful sunsets as the sight of sun sinking into the vast sea is a gorgeous one.

On weekends, the beach is crowded with people from different regions of the country. During this time diverse beach entertainments such as dancing monkeys, cricket matches and acrobats can be enjoyed. Vendors selling T-shirts, cute little Indian dolls made from seashells etc is a common scene on the beach.

The beach is also famous for tasty street food like bhelpuri, pani puri, chaats and Pav bhaji. Apart from this, many luxury hotels and apartments are situated on the southern side of the beach.

Swimming and sun-bathing in Juhu beach is not a wise decision, as the water here is polluted. But the place is ideal for admiring the beauty of sunsets and enjoying street food. The place is also popular for watching airplanes coming from Chhatrapati Shivaji InternationalAirport which generally takeoff directly over the beach towards the sea. Gandhi Gram at the North end of Juhu beach, where Mahatma Gandhi lived while he was practicing law in the Bombay High Court, is a nearby attraction.

Juhu is one of the stylish areas of Mumbai and it is also home to some of the leading Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachhan, Madhuri Dixit and Dimple Kapadia. The beauty of this beach has been captured in numerous bollywood films and it is one of the favorite shooting locations for film directors.

The place can be visited any time of the year except the season of monsoon. Chhatrapati Shivaji International is the nearest airport. The nearest railway stations are Santa Cruz, Andheri and Vile Parle.
