Hackers join Baba Ramdev

Bangalore: Day by day the supporters of Baba Ramdev have increased, and the recent addition to the list is the famous hacker group 'Anonymous'. The group has supported Baba Ramdev, Anna Hazare and other individuals who support the Jan Lokpal Bill, on the movement against corruption. They have supported the movement by hacking the website of government IT organization, National Informatics Centre (NIC). So far NIC has not commented anything on the issue officially, but the website of NIC was down and it says that the NIC site was under maintenance. NIC is a Government institution, for providing e- Governance projects and integrated services and global solutions in Government Sector. According to a government expert on cyber security, no data was stolen by the hackers and no damaged was done by them. The official said,"This was more a playful threat that exploited some weaknesses of the NIC site." The Hacker News reports that the hackers have posted a logo in the website along with a message to the Prime Minister. The message says " There is no use securing. There is no use of spending on forensic. Get this message clear Mr. Prime Minister and others." The Anonymous has also opened account on Facebook and Twitter called 'Operation India' to continue the step against corruption and also asked others to join the community. Regarding the hacking of the NIC site, Anonymous said in a message on Twitter that the site had been defaced because of violence against Baba Ramdev by the central government. The group has also released a press release stating the cause for their fight. They have also requested for severe punishment to the corrupt officials in the press release. The agenda in the press release stands for the complete removal of corruption in all its forms, ensuring support to Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare and other Civil minded individuals who have supported the Jan Lokpal Bill.
