HP to release Wi-Fi mobile mouse


Bangalore: HP has announced a new mobile mouse with Wi-Fi capability and Link-5 technology. The mouse can be connected to the computer directly through its Wi-Fi connection and can be operated from 30 ft away from the computer. The new technology does not require wire, Bluetooth or any USB port to be connected to the computer but all it needs is to be connected through the computers Wi-Fi receiver. The mouse has nine months battery life. The mobile mouse will be released in June for 2250. The mouse has five customizable buttons for creating shortcuts like copy and paste, and a four-way scroll wheel that can scroll up, down, left and right. HP is also releasing new PC accessories for its 'Link-5' technology. The new accessories include the HP Wireless Mini Keyboard, the Wireless Ultrathin Wireless Keyboard, the Wireless Elite v2 Keyboard, the Wireless Optical Comfort Mouse, the Wireless Laser Comfort Mouse and the Wireless Mobile Mouse. These new accessories connect to a receiver through a "connect" button on the device. It does not require software or drivers to install. It allows users to connect as many as five HP-compatible computer accessories with one receiver using 2.4-GHz wireless technology.
