Kochi: California-based IT services company UST Global unveiled its new facility in Leela Infopark in this city of Kerala Monday.
Spread over an area of 34,000 sq ft, the office is styled to the themes of speed, passion and courage to celebrate the company's partnership with Britain-based Formula One (F1) team Virgin Racing.
It was in April last year that UST Global and Virgin Racing, a new team in F1's 2010 season, entered into a strategic tie up with the former providing the IT support services for the latter.
UST Global headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, was one of the first IT companies to set shop in the Technopark campus in the capital city and to subsequently start operations at Kochi.
It has emerged as the biggest employer in the IT sector in the state and has now over 3,000 workers.
Sajan Pillai, CEO of UST Global, said that they were among the first to look at Kerala as an IT service destination.
"We have a significant presence in the state today. Expanding our investment in Kerala makes good business sense, given the massive amount of untapped resources and talent available. Kochi will have a major role to play in the next generation of IT services," said Pillai.
