Gurgaon: Gurgaon-based online aggregator and online cab rental service provider GetMeCab.com has launched a beta version of their mobile site. The fully functional WAP site allows the customers make outstation, local usage as well as airport transfers on the go.

“The number of people using internet on mobile is considerable increasing in India and there are more platforms coming up. Our idea is to tap the people who are comfortable using internet on their mobile. The Beta version enables the user to make a booking in less than a minute through the mobile site,” says Amit Lakhotia, Co-founder, GetMeCab.com. The company presently is in the process of analyzing the traffic that they get from the mobile version and based on the customer responses would make a move to mobile apps.

Co-founded in April 2011, by Udai Singh Meena, Amit Lakhotia, and Bhola Meena, GetMeCab.com helps the users, search and buy car rentals online. It provides a variety of cab options to the users, transparent pricing (10 percent of the price is paid upfront while the remaining 90 percent, including the additional taxes is to be paid in cash to the cab driver), and a simple booking process. About 40-45 percent of the cab vendors have a GPS fitted which helps in tracking the cab. It also does a background check of the operator and the cab drivers and generally picks those drivers who have been recommended by atleast one of the customers.

GetMeCab.com offers cabs for intercity and intracity use, and the customers can also make the bookings for a whole day. The company gets a feedback from the customers after the trip is over, and any complaints against the driver or the quality of the service are immediately taken care of, which has ensured a very high repeat rate. It also provides a replacement in case of a customer complaint or a vehicle breakdown.
