Bangalore: People those who make big hit in the world of Cinema are not always from the fashion world or the background of film industry. There is something important in this saying. Here you can take a look at some of the biggest stars in Bollywood who have made their glorious hit from the small screen to the big screen: Shahrukh khan Shahrukh Khan began his debut acting appearing in several television serials and soaps. He started his acting career by playing the role of Commando Abhimanyu Rai in "Fauji'. After this role, he appeared in Aziz Mirza's Circus, in which he represented the life of circus performers. Khan also had a minor role in one English-language film made for small screen, "In Which Annie gives it Those Ones", based on life at Delhi University written by Arundhati Roy. He also acted in several commercially successful films and has bagged critical acclamation for many of his performances before appearing in Deewana in 1992. Smita Patil Smita Patel began her career in small screen with television news. When Shyam Benegal discovered her, she was working as a TV news reader and was also an accomplished photographer. She was also an alumna of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. In 1977, she won the National Award for 'Best Actress' for her famous role in the Hindi film Bhumika , after that she came to limelight through so many big hits in Bolywood. Rajpal Yadav Rajpal Yadav started his debut acting in Doordarshan's television serial "Naurangilal ke Sapne". In this serial he got a role as the central character and the serial became a big hit in small screen. His dream turned to reality when once Ram Gopal Varma spotted him in the audience of Mast and also in a small role as a server in a cafe. RGV gave him a very challenging role in Jungle. After that big hit Rajpal preferred comic roles such as in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and became well known comedian in Hindi films. He acted in so many films which include Hungama, Waqt: The Race against Time, Chup Chup Ke, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri, and Dhol. Madhavan Madhavan began his acting career with television soaps He did one famous role on the Zee TV prime-time soap opera Banegi Apni Baat in 1996. He also appeared in leading roles in Zee TV's Tol Mol Ke Bol. After a while, his popularity on television guided him to secure his first film role in Iss Raat Ki Subah Nahin". After appearing in commercials and in small roles, he gained recognition and fame in Manirathnam's Alaipayuthe as the husband going through the traumas of love marriage. Manoj Bajpai Manoj Bajpai started his debut acting with Swaabhimaan, a television serial which aired on Doordarshan. The same serial also brought Tyagi and Rishab into fame. Manoj bajpai also appeared in several small roles in films like Droh Kaal , and Bandit Queen. He got his big break in Ram Gopal Varma?s crime film "Satya" in 1998. In this film he performed as Bhiku Mhatre, which helped him to bag several awards. In this film he portrayed the stubborn and compassionate sides of this gangster, with equal flamboyance.
