Bangalore: Ensequence, an interactive television company has secured $20 million in fourth-round funding. Along with the raising of this financing round, the company has also appointed Peter Low to the position of President and CEO of Ensequence.
"The latest round of funding allows us to build on our strong momentum - enabling us to continue offering programmers, distributors and advertisers the most compelling interactive experiences available," said Low.
Founded in 2000 and based in Portland, Ensequence enables programmers, advertisers, and distributors to make TV even more powerful and engaging. According to the company, it eliminates the technical complexities of interactive television and allows customers to quickly and affordably deliver a high volume of compelling iTV experiences to the possible audiences on every distribution platform - including cable, satellite, and IPTV. Also, according to Aslam Khader, Chief Technology and Product Officer of Ensequence, the company has long supported university involvement in interactive television. Currently, there are about 100 employees in the company.
This latest round of funding is led by Clay Mathile, CEO of CYMI Technologies and Former CEO and Owner of the Iams company. Having an executive track record, Mathile is an active investor in the technology industry. Also, Ensequence previously raised over $58 million in venture capital (VC) funding, from firms like Westbury Partners and Fortuna Investments.
