Aventail sets up R&D center in Bangalore

BANGALORE: Aventail Corporation, a provider of clientless SSL VPN appliances and services, today announced that in response to Aventail's rapidly growing appliance business, the company has opened its Indian operations in Bangalore. This significant expansion and additional capital investment in product development will allow Aventail to meet the growing demand for its award-winning EX-1500 SSL VPN family of appliances.
"This is an exciting time in Aventail's history and we're putting a stake in the ground to extend our market and technology leadership worldwide," said Evan Kaplan, President & CEO of Aventail Corporation. Aventail views the new India office as an opportunity to enhance engineering capacity and to take advantage of all benefits that different time zones, international expertise, and lower costs can bring in developing its leading SSL VPN appliances. The opening of an India office coincides with Aventail adding headcount in Seattle and other North American and European offices. Aventail will be recruiting to fill development and quality assurance positions in Bangalore, and in the future will add support staff. The new India facility will open later this month.
