As Mango enables the programmers to bring ease and power to mobile enterprise applications. Windows Phone 7 "Mango" will bring multitasking, IE9, and Twitter integration along with other things. This version of Mango Smartphone consists of more than 500 new features and 1,500 new APIs which create a dramatically expanded mobile platform. Mango will be released this Autumn and will widely have many new Smartphone competitors. Few specifications of Mango include the more number of new APIs, Local storage via on-board database, brings more of the information you want to the surface, Associates online search with apps and information in context, enables Microsoft's multitasking approach and provides better performance with Web browsing IE 9 and HTML5. The latest upgrade of Mango for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 was shown in terms of opportunity and capability. Windows Phone 7 application availability is being broadened, with wider international rollouts. And the developer program is being expanded for development and commerce in 35 countries. Adding to this greater support for carrier billing and advertising is also enabled. The Mango beta release is now downloaded by Windows Phone developers which is a part of Mango development tools. Developers experienced in Windows software programming for the enterprise were interviewed regarding the success of Mango. Ginny Caughey, a Windows Phone Development MVP and President of Carolina Software said, "I think the Mango update will be HUGE for the platform. I suspect that many of the APIs were things the product group at Microsoft wanted to put into the 7.0 phone [release] but were not able to due to scheduling. Others were clearly the result of listening to users and developers." However, Mango did play a key role in Nokia's decision to discard its own mobile OS development efforts and stake its Smartphone future on Windows Phone. Microsoft shared details about Mango with Nokia. Later Nokia and Microsoft announced their mobile partnership, and Mango was given into the hands of Nokia developers. It is believed that Nokia phones are already running on Mango in Microsoft's labs.
