The first duty says - It shall be the duty of every citizens of India to abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem. The question arises how many Indian truly bothers and respects the national anthem and national flag. In a recent incident of Sindgi town of Karnataka, a Pakistani flag was hoisted in front of a tahsildar’s office on the eve of New Year. Another Incident in which the Mataji Nirmala Devi, wife of ex-IAS officer, who is also sitting next to her, sits with the Indian flag in her feet, takes no pain to disrespect it. If this is what an elder well educated people can do, then what else we expect our young India to learn.

It shall be the duty of every citizens of India to cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom. The country now is full of corruption which means following the footsteps of the national heroes is forgotten long bank but there are some instances where Indians were found to disrespect them. In a very popular social network called, “Facebook” there was a community created called “I Hate Gandhi.” The man who is called ‘the father of the nation’ was abused with dirty words in the site. Later an IPS officer lodged a complaint against this site claiming that the image of Mahatma Gandhi was maligning. Is this what is been said to be our duty to disrespect our national hero?
