2. Bloomberg Philanthropies: Bloomberg Philanthropies is mainly in to charitable giving with its founder Michael R. Bloomberg and focuses its resources on five areas such as environment, public health, the arts, government innovation and education. According to the Foundation Center, Bloomberg Philanthropies is the 18th largest foundation in the United States with around $452 million distributed in 2013. Bloomberg Philanthropies has focused on reducing tobacco use through the MPOWER tobacco control strategy. In 2012, the foundation donated around $220 million to fight tobacco use over a four-year period and in total, the organization has pledged to donate $600 million to curb tobacco use in low- and middle-income countries. Recently Bloomberg has committed $53 million over five years to take on overfishing in Brazil, the Philippines, and Chile.

This company is just three years old but not to forget that it has made it place in this list of innovative companies. It not only released four Smartphones last year but also sold almost 19 million which was more than 150 percent in 2012. In Chinese market this company is staking out a significant piece of money by selling its feature-rich devices at a comparatively lower cost. Recently the company’s goal is to sell around 40 million devices in many other emerging markets including India.
