Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi is an Indian-American business executive and the Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, the second largest food and beverage business in the world by net revenue. According to Forbes, she has been consistently ranked among World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. Nooyi joined PepsiCo in 1994 and was named president and Chief Financial Officer in 2001. According to BusinessWeek, since she had started as CFO in 2001, the company’s annual revenues had risen to 72 percent, while net profit doubled to more than 5 million dollars in 2008. In January 2008, Nooyi was elected Chairwoman of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC). Nooyi leads USIBC’s Board of Directors, an assembly of more than 60 senior executives representing a cross-section of American industry. In 2009, Nooyi was considered one of “The TopGun CEO’s” by Brendan Wood International, an advisory agency. Nooyi was also named as Institutional Investor’s Best CEO’s list in the All-American Executive Team Survey in 2008 to 2011. She is ranked 12th in the list.
