Bangalore: Realizing that South Asia, especially India is continuously under the terror threat, the government is planning to set up 20 anti-terrorism schools. The statement to this regard was made by the Home Minister at a parliament discussion on terrorism on Thursday in the wake of Mumbai attacks in November this year. "There are clear evidences that the Mumbai attacks originated from the territory of Pakistan. To counter the terror, each NSG team will be deployed in all big cities in the country. Now all the security mechanisms are well in place in the country," said Home Minister P Chidambaram. According to opposition leader LK Advani, India is facing a war of terror. "Both the government and the opposition are united on the issue of combating terror," he said while addressing the parliament. The move to set up anti-terrorism schools, say experts, could be effective as it will help generate anti terror thoughts among students in their early ages -it will be comparatively impossible for terror outfits to influence them later. However, the time deadline and locations for such schools to be set up are yet to be revealed.
