3. Koenigsegg Agera R

 Accelaration: 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds

Engine: 5.0-liter V8 Twin Turbo engine - 1099 horse power

Despite having a much higher speed theoretically, the present tested top speed of Agera R is 260 mph. However, it has some premium attributes if you like snow sports. Agera R can be fitted with a Ski Box as well as winter tires. It is expected that this snow car will be the Bugatti's arch rival in the coming years.

2. Hennessey Venom GT

Top speed: 266 mph (428 km/h)

Accelaration: 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds

Engine: 7.0 liter LS7 Turbocharged V8 Twin Turbo V8 Engine- 1244 horse power

Price: $1,000,000

Although Venom GT has potential to reach a top speed of 275 mph, it achieved a peak speed of 265.7 mph when it was tested last year in California. The super car is the closest challenger to Veyron Super Sport which occupies the top position in the countdown.

Even though the Bugatti Veyron lost the title of the fastest car in the world to SSC Ultimate Aero in 2007, it reclaimed in 2010 with its Super Sport model that ran at a record speed of 268 mph. The original Bugatti Veyron could achieve a top speed of 253 mph with its 1001 horsepower engine and was priced at $1,700,000.
