Founder, Hotmail

Born to a family of Army officer and Bank official, Sabeer always wanted to do something different. He left India at the age of 19. While leaving India, he had only $250 in his pocket.

He holds a BTech degree from Birla Institute of Technology (BITS), Pilani. After passing from BITS, Pilani, he applied for a scholarship at Caltech; he obtained the scholarship with a score of 62. He did his masters from Stanford University.

After working in Apple for a year, he joined Firepower Systems. He never liked the way of communication in any of his workplaces. To get rid of the traditional way of communication, he founded Hotmail in 1995 along with one of his colleagues.

Hotmail focused on the access of mailbox from anywhere in the world using simple language programs. It changed the way of communication. Hotmail gained him so much popularity that he became a youth icon within a very short span of time.
