5. Thomas Edison

Thomas Alva Edison is one of the important names in the history of science. His invention is lighting the entire world today.

After Edison moved to Louisville in 1866, he took a job in the Western Union. He did night shift there as he was getting enough time for his experiments.

One night, while experimenting, he spilled sulfuric acid in the office floor. The entire flooring of the office got affected. Needles to say, he was fired the next morning.

6. Mark Cuban  

Mark Cuban is one of the best known businessmen in the recent times. He is also an investor and a philanthropist. This does not complete his identity though. He is popularly known for the National Basketball Association's Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theatres and the chairman of the HDTV cable network AXS TV.

He used to work as a salesperson in Dallas, Texas. He was fired from his job as he failed to open the store and was busy in a meeting with a client to procure new business ideas.
