Around 1960s there were lots of road accidents. There were reports that one person died in every five minutes. Subhash noticed this and thought that introduction of helmets would reduce the number.

In 1971, he started researching about helmets. To clear all his confusions he even imported a helmet from Germany to understand how it’s made. Just within two years Subhash launched a company with the capital of just 2 lakh. The company’s first product was Mayur which was an open face helmet.

Later in 1992, he registered a new company Steelbird Hi Tech India and shifted all his business into it. Today, Steelbird has an annual turnover of 150 crore.

After pursuing a master degree from Harvard School of Engineering in Applied Sciences, Anand Shrivastav worked at many big shot companies in U.S. till 1998. After Anand decided to return to India, he noticed that most financial transactions were carried out through cash.

To help and ease the cash transactions, in 2002, Anand set up a company which he named as Suvidha Starnet with the capital of 2 crore. The company mainly focused on cashless transactions.

In 2005 the company’s turnover was 10 crore and the company hopes to reach 125 crore in the financial year 2012-13.
