Nasser Hussain
Nasser Hussain is considered one of the best England Cricket Captains, for transforming the habitually under-performing team into an achieving one. Simon Barnes wrote for the Times about Hussain that, “Hussain is the most significant cricketer to have played for England since the war and perhaps the finest captain to hold the office.”
Nasser Hussain was born on 28 March 1968 in Madras, India. He is born to an Indian Muslim father, Jawad Hussain and English mother Patricia. He was educated at Forest School in Walthmstow and got his degree from the University of Durham.  Apart from Nasser, his father and brother, Mehriyar Hussain have also played world class cricket for Tamil Nadu and Worcestershire teams, respectively.

Julie Christie
Julie Frances Christie is an English actress. Her first big screen role was in’ The Fast Lady’ and’ Crooks Anonymous’ and her big break came with ‘Billy Liar’ in 1963. Her performance as ‘Diana Scott’ in ‘Darling’ got her the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1965. She has also won BAFTA, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Julian Christie was born in Singlijan Tea Estate, Chabua, Assam in British India on 14 April 1941. She is the eldest child of Francis St. John and Rosemary, a painter. The tea plantation where she was raised was run by her father. After being expelled from two convents she was sent to Wycombe Court School in Buckinghamshire, where she lived with her foster mother since the age of six.

India as the birthplace to these famous people has built an Indian connection with them and then there are those who have given India a special place for the bond that they share.
