10 Executive Outbursts

2. Jeff Skilling – Enron

Skilling is the former President of Enron and responsible for the biggest case of window-dressing in the world, even before a ‘Satyam’ happened. Kenneth Lay, Chairman of Enron, was involved in this financial scandal of the century. At the time when Enron heads were being enquired for the accounting scandal, Skilling used unparliamentarily language with Richard Grubman, Managing Director at Highfields Capital Management. In April 2001, when Grubman was present with other stock analysts and media people, Grubman said, "You're the only financial institution that can't come up with balance sheet or cash flow statement after earnings." To this, Skilling responded by using foul language.
