Even though the actual Kentucky Fried Chicken can be blamed in its own right for forgery in China as confirmed by its use of an Obama fraud in several Chinese TV ads, the company is also a prey of storefront counterfeit. The fake KFC stores not only use the fast-food chain's branding, but also swapped the Colonel Sanders with their own version.
According to a Harvard Business School study, the false KFCs may not stay around for long, since KFC lately became the largest restaurant company in mainland China, after becoming one of the fastest-growing brands in the country.
