10 Best Selling Passenger Cars Of India

#7 Hyundai i10

The Hyundai i10 is another hunchback car from the South Korean manufacturer which is winning hearts sconce from 2007. The popular car has sold 73934 units between January and November 2013.

In 2010 Hyundai launched a face lifted version of the i10 in India which uses a Kappa 2 engine with VTVT Technology to further improve performance of this engine. Hyundai engineers have taken the existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder Kappa engine and added VTVT (Variable Timing and Valve Train). The i10 is the first small car in the country to receive variable valve timing making it, on paper at least, the most sophisticated 1.2-litre engine in its segment. This system, working on the intake side, helps in altering the valve timing and lift according to the situation and thus improves low-end responses and fuel efficiency.

It is offered with an 814cc three-cylinder gasoline engine that generates 55 bhp and 75 Nm torque. Eon has a fuel economy rating of 26.3 kilometers per liter as claimed by the company and is equipped with 13-inch wheels fitted with 155/70R13 tires.
