4. Defects of West direction:

 According to Vastu, certain things placed in West direction are harmful, such as big openings or windows, electric motors, wells, pits, cuts or extension in the west direction etc.

Bad Effects:  Bad effects for this direction can cause poverty, chest disease, melting money and the youngest daughter of the house suffers most.

5. Defects of South-West direction:

Placements of things in proper directions are very important in Vastu. Things like underground water tank, septic tank or sewage-disposal tank, South-west cut or extension, basement, temple, kitchen, main entrance and bore well can prove defective on this South-west direction.

Bad Effects:  This direction can cause delay in marriage, fall into bad habits, too much expenditure, loss of money, disrespect, problems between husband and wife and no promotion at work.
