Altamount Road, Mumbai

The second expensive locality in India is the Altamount Road in Mumbai, where the property prices touch sky. Mumbai is known as a financial hub of the country and the home for many prominent personalities. This Altamount road houses two wealthiest personalities, Mukesh Ambani and Kumar Mangalam Birla. Moreover, Mukesh Ambani’s personal home Antilia, which is the most expensive 27-storey building in India, alone has placed this road to come on the second position for most expensive locality category.

Malabar Hill, Mumbai

Mumbai’s Malabar Hill is an extremely expensive residential area and as ranked in the 3rd position. The escalating property price of this area is because of the prominent people residing in this area making the area posh and exclusive. Some of the renowned people who reside in this locality are Adi Godrej, Shapoorji Pallonji Mistry, business tycoon Venugopal Dhoot and the Ruias of Essar Group. Combining the total assets of these high net worth individuals; is about rs1.50 lakh crore, which makes Malabar Hill the most expensive locality. Surprisingly, Malabar hill apartment cost around rs75000 per square feet which is high compared to Altamount road apartment, which is rs70000 per square feet.
