Pune: Among the top eight cities of India, Pune stood third on the ranking by beating most prominent cities like Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai. When it comes to rent a home, Pune remains the second most affordable place. Pune is the most affordable place to rent and buy a home. The property prices and rental prices in this city are comparatively low, this making Pune as most affordable option for professionals to rent or own a home. Pune still remains a buyer’s market with the rise of property prices than rental prices.

On the basis of the survey, a professional who earns a salary range of 12-15 Lakhs is better for renting and who earns more than 15-19 Lakhs is recommended to buy a home, but to afford the additional EMI payments the professional have to make few adjustments to his current lifestyle. When compared to last year a new home buyer gets 21 percent of the lesser carpet area. In Pune four major areas are attracting the investors due to its employment growth namely Hinjewadi, Wakad, Tathawade and Ravet.
