Mumbai: Tata Housing Development Company (Tata Housing), one of the fastest growing real estate companies in India washonored with the “Global Performance Excellence Award -2014” in the Services Category by Asia Pacific Quality Organisation (APQO), Chicago, Illinois, USA. The Company has been declared as “World Class Organisation” (top category award) amongst 11 other organisations around the world.Thisprestigious award will be presented at the 20th APQO/International Conference on Quality in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 23rd November 2014.

Tata Housing is the only Indian real estate developer to win such a prestigious global award since its inception in 1981. Moreover, it is one of the most distinguished Global Business Excellence Awards in the world and can only be applied by the winners of the National Business Excellence Awards from various countries.

Tata Housing was announced the winner basis a thorough scrutiny and judgment by the Malcolm Baldrige Business Excellence Assessors, USA, on Malcolm Baldrige framework. The framework includes assessment on Leadership Capabilities, Strategy Planning, Customer & Market Orientation, Measurement & Analysis, Capable Workforce and Process Management.

Only companies which had already won a national quality award in its home country and which had passed the rigorous final screening by the IAPQA Council are eligible for the IAPQA awards. The awards selection criteria are: leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, human resource focus and process management.
