Other preferred destinations for NRI Investments are Chennai, Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam. Jones Lang LaSalle India, CEO Om Ahuja says that “from recent years, the NRI’s who have entrepreneurial aspirations and intended to begin their business are showing interest to put resources in large cities in India. Bangalore is one city which is seeing an upsurge in inquires from NRI’s for investment purpose”.

The infrastructural growth, presence of educational institutions, seamless connectivity, access to medical facilities and favorable climate conditions are making the Bangalore city as sought after destination for NRI’s (Non Resident Indians) investments.

Relaxation in FDI norms, investment friendly market and Tax soaps made investors optimistic about Indian Realty Market.

Mainly the Real estate demand is coming from America, European countries, Middle East countries, Australia, Singapore and Dubai. The NRI’s who want to relocate to India are investing in localities such as Yelahanka, Hosur Road, Sarjapur Road, Whitefield and Kanakapura Road in Bangalore due to its proximity to IT hubs and connectivity to prime localities and micro markets in the city.

Real estate Experts say that “NRI’s are looking towards investing in luxury units with large rooms offering splendid world class amenities and unique features with high end specifications. As a long term investment point of view, the majority of NRI’s prefers to invest in 2 BHK and 3 BHK Apartments as of ease maintenance. Investing in Residential Plot is not a preferred choice for NRI’s as it is a hard errand to keep up property by living out of India.
