After Accepting the 3.5 Lakh Forms DDA Extended its Last Date to Oct 15

Bangalore : The potential applicants planning to buy a home through DDA housing scheme will now be able to submit application forms till Oct 15. DDA housing scheme 2014 offering 25,034 flats in Delhi has extended the last day of submission on Wednesday, which was earlier Oct 9th and DDA announced Nov 5th as the tentative date for draw.The assessment of extending the deadline of mega DDA housing scheme near the closing of the scheme was taken after receiving overwhelming response from the public and due to public holidays on various occasions in the first week of Oct which caused disturbance in submitting forms.

One of the DDA senior official stated that” till now 20 Lakh of application forms have been sold, but only 3.5 Lakh forms are submitted still there are several Lakhs of forms yet to be submitted to the authority. Now the applicants can submit the application forms in 13 empanelled banks and their branches till Oct 15th from 3 pm to 6 p.m.” 

Till Saturday, DDA has received 92,000 forms where 16 Lakh applications were sold. The draw conducted on Nov 5th will be supervised by a three members headed by a retired High Court Judge It includes two IT professionals from IIT, Delhi and NIC (National Informatics Centre).

DDA Housing Scheme is the biggest scheme offering 25,034 flats where 22,627 flats are 1 BHK flats called a LIG flats in Delhi suburbs like Dwaraka, Narela and Rohini in different categories. Only 512 MIG flats are newly constructed flats.

To execute a draw DDA in its last scheme in 2010 had commissioned Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).  Dhar said “The total procedure of the draw has been uploaded in our official website and we have also opened a suggestion box for feedback of applicants who face problems during purchasing forms. IT department planned to ramp up our website during closing date and the draw time to manage traffic of online users.”
