RedBus.in secures $6 Million in Series C Funding

Bangalore: Bangalore-based Pilani Soft Labs, which runs the bus ticketing site RedBus.in, has succeeded in raising $6 million in Series C funding led by Helion Venture Partners. Other investors include Inventus Capital Partners and Seedfund.
The company is focused in accelerating its ticketing site and software platform Seat Seller for bus operators and is longing towards computerization of the transport industry. RedBus is planning to add 100 employees to its call center facility. Along with the online booking site, they run offline distribution with 75,000 point of sale outlets and still expanding.
