HashCube Attracts Funding From IAN and Blume Ventures


Bangalore: Bangalore based HashCube technologies; a social gaming platform provider has received funding from Indian Angel Network and Blume Ventures. Rajan Anandan and Hemant Kanakia from IAN have invested in this company. Sharad Sharma who has also invested from IAN would also find a chair in the board.

Incorporated by Deepan Chakravarthy and Ramprasad Rajendran in 2009, HashCube makes puzzle games such as Sudoku Quest and Sudoku Battle for mobile platforms and on social networking sites. It is said to have 2 million users for its gaming services as reported by dealcurry.

HashCube earns its revenues through advertisements on games and through the sale of virtual goods associated with various games. The company has its prime focus set on American, European and Canadian markets. It is reported that the company would use the investment to promote more games, improving existing games by adding more new exciting features to them and also to expand the portfolio of its new games.

IAN has been in the headline for quite some time as it has funded over 35 startups across diverse sectors like Mobile, healthcare, IT and education both in India and overseas. Blume ventures also recently invested in CHERISHmaternity.com, a community based product review platform.
