2014 Mercedes Benz GLA Crossover

Based on the Modular Front Architecture, the GLA is Mercedes Benz’s first real crossover for the entry-level luxury SUV market. While the crossover will share its engines with the A-Class and the B-Class hatchbacks, the engines on the GLA are expected to be more powerful, in line with its SUV type built image.

Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged mill the engine is devised to produce 337PS and 450Nm of torque. The engine is mated to the seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and will get an AMG spec body kit, different alloy wheels in terms of accessories.

The GLA is expected to be priced in the range 27-30 lakh for the top spec diesel engined version. It will compete with the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and the Volvo V40 Cross Country.
