Ridiculous Superstitions Even the "Elites" Believe in
Keeping a knife and onions under the bed:
Apart from being outright disgusting and creepy, this is also one of the craziest traditions followed by many Indians. Apparently, keeping a knife under the pillow will ward off evil while keeping an onion under the pillow will give you premonitions about your future spouse. Don’t know about premonitions, but a head ache and a scar or an empty socket can be guaranteed. Think about it, after while the onion will start giving out such a repulsive odor, it would be a surprise if you don’t throw up. And a knife? What sensible human being would knowingly keep a blade under their pillow when they are about to sleep. Well it is understandable if the person is delusional and expects Jack the Ripper to come home unannounced, but other people whose brains aren’t addled resorting to such stupid rituals is outrageous.
