Mercedes-Benz Rolls Out 'Made In India' C-Class Sedan


 The new C-Class sedan comes with a large fuel tank of 66 litres, and the 4-cylinder diesel engine is very efficient with 19.27kmpl. That’s not all: the car features an ECO start/stop function that plays a vital role in reducing emission and saving fuel.

 The engine of the new C 200 CDI brings in a thrust of 125kW at 3000-4200 rpm with a maximum torque of 400Nm, the rpm between 1400-2800. This is the most powerful engine in the C segment. The sedan comes with a top speed of 233kmph and it can go 0-100kmph within 7.5 seconds.

The Mercedes-Benz factory at Chakan in Pune is rated as one of the top-most production facility under the company globally. The manufacturing facility is newly constructed and the expanded factory has the capacity of producing 20,000 units annually.

The manufacturing facility in Pune was set up in 2009, spread over 100 acres at Chakan. The plant currently produces 3 models of sedan including E-Class and S-Class and two models of luxury SUVs such as M-Class and GL-Class.
