Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve- Uttarakhand
The Jim Corbett tiger reserve is constantly under threat due to encroachment and population explosion in the surrounding villages which resulted in shrinking the tiger habitat drastically. This has given way for fatal conflicts between tigers and humans thereby forcing authorities to relocate many tigers. The encroachment and dwelling expansion has also put jackal and bears in threat along with the tigers. The habitat has to be preserved as it is the key factor in keeping the big cat's population from going down.
