El Celler de Can Roca Girona, Spain:

Established in 1986 by Roca brothers, Joan the head chef, Josep the sommelier and Jordi the desert expert, El Celler de Can Roca is the second Best Restaurant in the World, listed by the magazine Restaurant. It has been ranked as the runner up in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

El Celler de Can Roca is located in Girona, Catalonia, Spain and serves a traditional Catalan cuisine with twists. Michelin Guide has rated it as a three star restaurant. It was awarded the first star in 1995, second in 2002 and third in 2009.

The restaurant has a large wine cellar with some 60,000 bottles. The dishes served include perfume based dishes and unusually presented dishes. It was also named as the restaurant of the year by a British broadsheet newspaper, The Sunday Times, in 2012.
