He’s one of the most successful fashion designers and the favourite of  Bollywood. He has worked with top actresses of Bollywood such as Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Juhi Chawla. He has also designed for Shah Rukh Khan in Mohabbatein and Imran Khan in I Hate Luv Stories. He was also asked to design cloths for Michael Jackson when he visited India for a Bollywood show. He also won many awards for the costume designing and is quite famous for his contemporary designs.

She began her career from Kolkata using two small tables and hand-block printing techniques. Beginning with bridal wear and evening clothes in the 1960s and 70s, she eventually moved into the international market in the subsequent two decades.Later in 2013 she was awarded with Padma Shri award for her commitments to form, materials and craftsmanship by the Government of India. She designed clothes for celebrities like Princess Diana, MadurJaffer and Jemima Goldsmith.
