# Next generation Toyota Fortuner

The current-generation Fortuner has been very successful vehicle for Toyota in India and there are a lot of expectations from the next-generation model. The new Fortuner is expected to be better in terms of space on the inside with the improvements on the interior quality.

The engines and transmissions could be retained and the there will be lot more equipment on the new Fortuner. The all new fortuner is expected to be launched in 2016.

# New Fortuner Models

Toyota plans to lead in two new variants of its best selling SUV, the Fortuner. One variant will feature a much smaller 2.5 liter turbo diesel engine with a 143 Bhp and 343 Nm of torque alongside a rear wheel drive mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox to cut down on costs.

The other variant will come with an automatic gearbox featuring a 3 liter turbo diesel motor with a 171 Bhp and 343 Nm of torque mated to a four wheel drive system. Both variants of the Fortuner will help the SUV maintain its lead over the rivals.
