Bangalore Tops in Automobile Related Searches, Analytics Reveal


Pune occupied the foremost spot among the non metro cities followed by Hyderabad; convincingly both the cities surpassed Kolkata. The IT capital of the nation is followed by New Delhi. The office of the Chief Minister of Delhi, on the other has been dedicated to devising methods such as the odd-even car number system to reduce traffic and more importantly, the alarming rates of pollutions. The analytic could probably reflect the ignorance of residents of these A1 cities.

Steep increase has also been recorded in the recent month which can be attributed to the ongoing Auto Expo which is being held at Gurgaon and organized jointly by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). Searches around this year's Auto Expo are almost double when compared to the previous Auto Expo in 2014 despite the fact that several major players in the industry like Royal Enfield, Bajaj etc. are not participating. Tagged Asia’s largest auto expo, the organizers are expecting around seven lakh visitors for the biennial event. As many as 85 passenger cars, sports utility vehicles (SUVs), two-wheelers, commercial vehicles and concept models are expected to be showcased.

Maruti brand effortlessly maintains the top spot in search queries, while Mahindra and Mahindra inches closer, at time even surpassing it. However both the brands are fairly ahead of other major automobile producers like Honda, Tata, Hyundai, Renault, Ford, Toyota and Volkswagen. Among the high end brands, BMW followed by Audi tops kindles the curiosity of Indians while majority of these luxury enthusiasts appear to hail from Goa and Haryana. Coming to the realm of two wheelers, the numerical graphs entangle themselves indicating a welcoming but competitive marketing output of these companies. Hero Moto Corp and Bajaj maintain a minute lead over Yamaha, TVS and Royal Enfield.
