A Close Race For Audi And Merc In The Indian Luxury Car Market

The sales for Merc elevated up to 17.5 percent in just three months. The company claimed that in the last quarter it sent out at least 385 units more than its rival. With this statistics, Merc takes the top spot for the quarterly sales.

“The company has posted multiple sales records in 2015, including the best March sales when volume grew more than 50 percent from a year earlier,” said Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India. The global big player BMW didn’t share the sales report and same goes with Tata Motors-owned British luxury brand JLR sales reports for FY15. The year 2015 has observed a narrow tiff between each luxury car manufacturers by flooding in new upgrades and models.

The Mercedes-Benz earlier this year quoted that they will introduce 10 new models. While, the Audi plans to launch next generation of Q7 SUV along with its new sports car TT into the Indian market.
