The Bell Gongs At 27 For These Musicians


BANGALORE: “Death is not quite the enemy it once was.” This may seem like an eerie of some dark dwellings however it is intriguing for those who have wandered in search of the music portal where legends have passed. "The 27 Club" or "Club 27" is the vernacular phrase attributed in assemblage of influential rock musicians  who died at the ripe age of 27. The death of Robert Johnson in 1938 succumbed to embellished theories of supernatural deeds involving a pact with the Devil. As mythology goes,

It is believed that the covenant was passed on to a series of other renowned performers wherein at the age of 27 their clock ticked its last and the devil would claim their souls. Here are some of the prominent members of the 27 club to immortalize their existence through their death, reports Buzzfeed celeb.

#Jim Morrison

James Douglas Morrison is by far the most iconic and influential front men to walk the music history. Lead vocalist of ‘Doors’ this legend is known as the American poet, singer and a songwriter. He is cited by critics and fans as rebellious by nature and oft-displayed icons. Morrison songs like ‘Riders JIM MORRISONon the storm, light my fire and LA women” were amongst others  which dominated 60’s-70’s.

 Regardless of his struggle with drugs and alcohol, it is presumed that Morrison died of heart failure on July 3Rd, 1971.
