Mercedes-Benz Rolls Out 'Made In India' C-Class Sedan

BANGALORE: Earlier this week Mercedes-Benz India pitched in a new C 220 CDI from its car manufacturing plant in Pune. The latest, locally made, C 200 CDI will cost 37.9 lakhs and will be available in all Mercedes-Benz showrooms throughout India, reports TOI.

The C 220 CDI Avantgarde, a variant model of original C 200 CDI, will be priced at 39.9 lakhs. It is said the new Indian made Mercedes-Benz car is 60 percent locally manufactured whereas the rest is built in company’s birth place Germany.

Eberhard Kern, the Managing Director of Mercedes Benz India said, "The local production of the new C 220 CDI will continue the sedan's success story in the Indian market."

"Additionally we have launched the 'Corporate Star Lease' product, a dedicated leasing solution from Mercedes Financial Services that will bring immense value for our potential corporate customers." Eberhard Kern adds.
