Maruti Suzuki Baleno Pre-Bookings Open; Launch on Oct 26

BENGALURU: Maruti Suzuki is all ready to s go for the launch of the company’s most awaited premium hatchback, Baleno, which is now ready to be launched at October 26, reports Oncars.

Maruti Suzuki has already started accepting pre-bookings for the new car Baleno with an initial payment of 25,000 from any Nexa showroom across India. Baleno will be launched in Indian market initially followed by a global launch later this year.

The car will be retailed across India via Maruti’s premium dealership Nexa, which also currently retails the S-Cross premium crossover. The Baleno, the second all-new product to be sold via Nexa, will be placed right above the carmaker’s popular hatchback Swift.

Reports claim that for the new car, Maruti will offer the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology, which will be paired to the 1.3-litre Multijet engine in the all-new Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The reports also suggest that the Baleno will also come with CVT automatic gearbox, which will be mated to the petrol mill.

The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be offered in four variants, namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It has features like airbags; ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) will be standard offerings. The car comes with other basic features like automatic air-conditioning, rear wiper and defogger, rear parking sensors, multi-functional steering wheel, Bluetooth AUX-in connectivity, and keyless entry.

The Baleno will also have characteristics like LED DRLs, automatic day and night internal rear view mirror, alloys wheels, and automatic headlamps.

The all new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be pitched in India against the likes Hyundai Elite i20, Fiat Punto Evo, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo. The car will be priced in India around 6.5 – 9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
