Harley-Davidson, Updates Its Indian Portfolio of Models


BANGALORE: Harley-Davidson has recently rolled out its 2016 model lineup that is approximately Rs 4.52 lakh for its new street 750. The suspension along with the engine of this model has gone through some changes alongside modified braking system, reports Overdrive.

With the Sportster series, the do-up of the Iron 883 and Forty-Eight come up to Rs 7.37 lakh and Rs 9.12 lakh respectively. The upgrade of the motorcycles now receives lighter alloys, modified seating as well as a new suspension that comes with adaptable rear shock absorbers.

The Softail motorcycle receives the ‘High Output Twin Cam 103 engine’ that gives out 141Nm of torque. Apart from the upgraded engine, the 2016 Heritage Softail Classic is said to receive a brand new styling, upgraded saddlebag support along with the typical electronic cruise control which comes up to Rs 16.60 lakh. Nonetheless in the Touring series the most expensive is the latest Road King that costs about Rs 25 lakh.

Pallavi Singh, Director of marketing at Harley-Davidson, India said, “This year, Harley-Davidson has introduced its refreshed Dark Custom models with the new Iron 883, Forty-Eight and carried out customer-led improvements in the Street 750 motorcycle that offers an authentic, affordable experience to a new generation of riders in India. Keeping up with our customer’s demands, we have also added more power to our range with the return of the Road King and engine upgrades throughout the ranges of the Softail making it our most powerful lineup of cruiser models ever.” The new motorcycles will be displayed during the Harley Rock Riders event which will be held between October 30 and 31, 2015
