All New Ford Figo Hatchback Unveiled at 4.3 Lakh

BANGALORE: The next generation Figo from Ford India was launched at 4.3lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The new launch in the hatchback segment is the successor of the very popular first generation Ford Figo. The diesel variant will be available for Rs 5.3 lakh (ex showroom Delhi), reports ETAuto.

The new Ford Figo hatchback will face competition from Hyundai Grand i10, Wagon R, Tata Bolt and Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ritz.

Powered by both petrol and diesel, three engine options will be available- a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 87PS/112 Nm torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine that will producing maximum power output and torque of  112bhp and 136Nm respectively, mated to a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Moreover, the diesel mill is 1.5 litre and produces 99bhp and 215Nm of peak torque, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The company claimed that the diesel variant could deliver 25.83kpl.

Sharing the similar configuration as the Figo Aspire given the new Ford Figo has an edge over the others in its segment.

The Ford India Figo will also offer dual airbags as standard six airbags, driver airbag and 6 airbags in the top variant.
