8 Illegal Foods in The World

#5.Haggis

Haggis is a savory pudding, containing sheep's heart, liver and lungs minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices and salt, mixed with stock and traditionally encased in the animal's stomach and simmered for approximately three hours. Most modern commercial haggis is prepared in a sausage casing, rather than stuffing into animal intestines. Haggis is banned in the U.S., due to a law against sheep lung commercialization.

#6.Farm-Raised Salmon

Farm-raised salmon is provided color through its diets by ingesting carotenes, primarily astaxanthin and a compound canthaxanthin. Canthaxanthin is a synthetic pigment that is used to add a pink color to salmon, and they use high concentrations of antibiotics, pesticides, and other toxic cancer-causing chemicals. Farmed fish are fattier and have a high concentration of omega-6 fatty acids. Studies have found that canthaxanthin can affect pigments in the retina of the eye. Farm-raised salmon is banned in New Zealand and Australia.
