6 New Hatchbacks Coming To India In 2015


# The Hyundai I20 2015

The present generation i20 has become a massive hit within the Indian market. Its eye popping exterior looks and its elegant interiors have grabbed a lot of attention and with the next generation i20 also the company plans to achieve the similar kind of response.

The spy pictures on the internet show that the car has an updated new exterior with new lights and the overall design has become more stable and streamlined.

Hyundai has said the previous version of the i20 focused only on the construction and features, while the newer one will concentrate more on the driving dynamics. The 2015 Hyundai i20 is expected to be out sometime this year with a price tag of 8 lakh.

# Fiat Punto Evo

The Punto from Fiat has always remained as one of the trendy cars in the segment and the newer version of it continues just that. The Punto Evo gets many interior and exterior changes with no mechanical upgrades.

The car gets the same 1.2 litre, 1.4 litre petrol engines and the diesel version comes with a 1.3 litre offering 75 BHP and 90 BHP power ranges. The car is expected to be launched in India sometime soon with a price tag of about 7 lakhs.  

# Tata Kite

The entry-level hatchback, code named as kite, is being developed to take on the likes of the Maruti Celerio with an AMT gearbox. Rumors suggest that, the kite might be launched in both petrol and diesel variants, which will be an added advantage for Tata as none of the variants in the entry-level price point have a diesel engine in the segment.

The engine options are yet to be revealed by the company and the current choice available are the 1.2 litre petrol and the 1.4 litre diesel unit doing duty on the Indica and the Indigo presently.
