5 Breathtaking Cars Coming Our Way In August


# Audi A3 Sedan

The German car maker’s latest and affordable offering to Indian buyers will be the A3 sedan. This is the only car from the company which will be made locally before the launch and is set to go head on with the Mercedes A-class and the BMW 1-series. The car is expected to come with some flashy features like the bi-Xenon head lamps with day time running LEDs, a two zone climate control air conditioning, leather upholstery and a panoramic sun roof.

On the mechanical side, the A3 sedan offers a 1.8 litre turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine which churns out 177 BHP with a 250 NM of torque. It gets an option of a 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine as well belting out 141 BHP of power with 320 Nm of torque. Both the engines will be mated to a seven speed DSG gearbox and is expected to be priced at 25 to 30 lakhs.

# Tata Zest

Betting big on its new engines being offered on its new cars, Tata is all set to launch the Zest. This compact sedan from Tata comes with the indigenously developed revetron 1.2 litre petrol engine and it gets an AMT gearbox as well to take on the success of the Maruti Celerio. The Zest comes with a much more classy and sporty design compared to the older models from Tata, it gets refreshed exterior, interior designs and has much more equipment list which includes a touch screen with the ‘Harman’ infotainment system, climate control air conditioning and many more features on the list.

The main element on the car is the 1.2 litre revetron turbo petrol engine which offers sport, Eco and default modes for exceptional and well round performance. It comes with 90 Ps of power and 140 Nm of torque coupled with a 5-speed manual gear box on the petrol engine and the same amount of power with 200 Nm of torque on the 1.3 litre diesel engine which is also available with the AMT gear box on it. The Zest will compete with the Honda Amaze and Maruti Dzire in the segment.
