One common thing that normal citizens can relate to the President is the way of communication. Although, Presidents are provided with choppers to reach places quickly but on the streets they use the cars.

The cars of Presidents are not registered like a common man’s car instead of the number plate; the spot will be covered by the national emblem ‘Ashoka Pillar’. The first President of the country Rajendra Prasad’s official car was a convertible Cadillac specially imported from the United States of America. Shankar Dayal Sharma

Shankar Dayal Sharma served as a Chief Minister of Bhopal from 1952 to 1956 then been the eighth Vice President of India under R. Venkataraman. Followed by R.Venkataraman, Shankar Dayal held the office as the President from 1992 to 1997 as the ninth President of the country.

He was the first President to use the Mercedes Benz W140 S-Class limousine as his daily driver. The car could withstand from the shocks of bullets and grenade also small arms. The car was noted for its quality build and heightened comforts.
