2015 Checklist: Most Anticipated Cars Launching In January

# Mercedes Benz CLA Sedan

The German manufacturer, Mercedes Benz starts of 2015 with the CLA luxury sedan this month. The Merc CLA sedan is based on the MFA platform that represents a front wheel drive layout to make it more affordable and fuel efficient luxury car. It will be the least priced sedan offered by the company in India.

The car takes the position below the C-Class in terms of price and positioning in the market. The sedan will come with a 2 liter turbo petrol and 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine with a 7 speed twin clutch automatic transmission. A front wheel drive layout will be the same on both the petrol and diesel models of the CLA sedan.

# Fiat 500 Abarth Competizione

Fiat drives the Abarth into the Indian market with the launch of the 500 Competizione high performance hatchback. The Abarth Competizione is based on the Fiat 500 hatchback with the performance upgrades on it.

Under the hood, A 1.4 liter-4 cylinder turbo petrol engine churning out 158 Bhp and 230 Nm drives the car. A 5 speed automated manual transmission with a Sport mode will be standard and the car will get into India as a completely built unit (CBU). As far as the prices are concerned, it is expected to be close to the 30 lakh rupee mark where Fiat plans on making the Abarth a high performance brand in India.
